Dr. James Nol is the Operations Director Medical Imaging at Blacktown / Mt Druitt Hospitals NSW and Associate Professor of Advanced Imaging at the school of Medicine of the Western Sydney University. Holding a Medical Imaging degree, a Master of Public Health and a PhD in Radiobiology & Evidence-Based Imaging, he has received numerous awards, including the NSW Health Quality and Innovation Baxter's Award and the WSLHD Innovation Award for introducing MR Screening as a diagnostic tool. A speaker at both national and international conferences, James has pioneered key innovations in medical imaging, such as open access imaging, online radiology reporting, and MR screening. His contributions include creating Australia’s first Clinical Postgraduate Degree in MRI, and Australia's first Open Access MRI service to the Emergency Department and other acute services in a Public hospital. James also served 31 years in the Australian Defence Force Health Services, Army Reserves, retiring last year with the Rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
