Sherene has been in healthcare for over 20 years, with 15+ years focused on telemedicine currently as the COO/CNO of Virtual Care and Digital Health. Prior to joining the Providence team, Sherene worked with Swedish Health Services, leading, and directing their telehealth team as well as spent years leading the Stroke and Telestroke team.
In Sherene’s current role her high performing teams focus on maintaining a multistate provider network which includes contracting, onboarding, licensing, and credentialing providers as well as leads business and strategy for enterprise service lines. Additionally, she leads a telehealth billing and coding team as well as a team of clinicians’ responsible for clinical program development, quality oversight and training models at scale for telepresenters and providers.
She has co-authored multiple publications and holds the Stroke-Fellow American Heart Association Award, as well as the American Stroke Association Impact Award. She has also served on the Disease Specific Certification Advisory Council for The Joint Commission, and on the AHA/ASA Stroke Nursing Rehabilitation Professions Committee
